Course Descriptions

Experience the best golf in Texas on Barton Creek Country Club’s four championship courses designed by masters of the game. Renowned course architect, Tom Fazio, designed two of the four courses, the Fazio Foothills and Fazio Canyons, which are recognized among the top courses in Texas and receive countless awards year after year. The Crenshaw Cliffside Course, designed by Ben Crenshaw and Bill Coore, incorporates their traditional links style design into the surrounding terrain. And, just 25 minutes away, the Palmer Lakeside Course designed by Arnold Palmer, offers breathtaking views of Lake Travis and the Texas Hill Country.

Fazio Foothills

Natural limestone caves, waterfalls and fairways lined with dramatic cliffs and native trees all contribute to the visual impact of the Fazio Foothills, while the rolling terrain with frequent changes in elevation add to its many challenges for golfers. Creeks, streams and ponds figure into play on as many as seven holes. With five different sets of tees, the Foothills course caters to golfers at every level.

Fazio Canyons

The Fazio Canyons features large sloping greens, elevation changes from tee to green and a variety of fairway and greenside bunkers. Streams and creeks meander throughout the entire course, past limestone-bedded canyons and beautiful Hill Country vistas. With five sets of tees, this course poses a challenge for golfers of all abilities.

Crenshaw Cliffside

Designed by Ben Crenshaw and partner Bill Coore, the championship layout of the Crenshaw Cliffside course is reminiscent of a links-style golf course. Its wide fairways provide golfers an opportunity to run the ball up to the green. The greens are large and well contoured, posing a challenge for even the best putters.

Palmer Lakeside

This Arnold Palmer design sits on a secluded hillside above Lake Travis, rewarding golfers with striking, panoramic views of the Hill Country and lake. Located away from the bustle of Austin and just 25 minutes from the main clubhouse, its tranquil, countryside setting offers a private country club environment to all who play. The course has a variety of water features, bunkers and elevation changes. Its #11 hole is consistently ranked among the most beautiful holes in Texas.
